Senior Product Manager / Acting Director
- Drove numerous consumer product launches on wireless CDMA network including rate plans ($11M of billing in 3.5 months), quarterly promos (110K subscribers in 2 months), and mobile instant messaging. Additional launch responsibilities expanded to premium SMS, BREW, ring tones, location-based services, and multimedia messaging (MMS) services.
- Negotiated contract with AOL for mobile instant messaging and with Air2Web for revenue share agreement for short code campaigns.
- Developed a product planning process and templates for initiating and launching new services resulting in more structured, efficient, and timely product launches.
- Developed business case, technology alignment roadmap and financial analysis for location-based services and BREW mobile instant messaging. Researched and met with various companies to evaluate options and costs; defined infrastructure and handset requirements. Companies reviewed include AOL, Comverse, Qualcomm, Yahoo, Microsoft, Oz, MessageVine, NavTeq, TCS, TeleAtlas, Motorola, Kyocera, and Audiovox.
- Developed product description document for MMS launch. This included close integration with Comverse MMSC, online album, handset features and functionality, future handset offerings, third-party multimedia content integration, branding, and pricing.
- Hired marketing resources to assist in BREW catalog management and quality assurance.
