Job Description:
Due to growth in their wireless business segment, we are looking for a Southwest Field Operations Director to manage our client’s wireless service business in the Southwest Region.
The preferred location is Dallas, Texas, but candidates will be considered who are near a major city anywhere within the region. This includes Dallas as well as Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri.

Responsibilities:
The Director of Wireless Field Operations will ensure the continuous operation of customers” wireless cell towers and equipment including HVAC units, generators, electrical and other ground maintenance as well as line and antenna systems, and microwave systems.
The Director will oversee, supervise and train a team of 40+ tower and ground maintenance technicians in the Southwest region, with a team of managers as direct reports.
Other Responsibilities Include:
Manage and develop relationships with Customer field technicians and managers to ensure smooth operations and upsell additional services.
Drives operational efficiencies by initiating performance improvement programs, developing appropriate metrics and goals, developing and documenting processes, and utilizing technology. This includes capacity planning, demand forecasting, drive time metrics, and more.
Prepares various reports such as wireless analysis, progress reports on job and work orders for clients, and capacity/demand forecasts.
Ensure employee safety through education and monitoring.
Recruit, hire and discipline personnel
Maintain necessary inventory and supply levels.
Be willing to learn our client’s fleet management software to efficiently track the team.
Travel to cell sites regularly to oversee, motivate and assist the field personnel.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of Operations experience including management of a wireless field equipment maintenance and repair team in a 24/7 environment, including hiring and firing responsibility. Senior management or director level experience Is a plus.
