Company Description:
Our client is a global test and measurement company.
Essential Duties:
Provides directions and instructions to all engineering departments related to Test and Measurement instrumentation usage and software for instrumentation.
Creates and provides control s/w for testing purposes using Labview. Provides instrument control software assistance.
Is responsible for the proper test-setup and calibration of engineering testing setups.
Is responsible for preparing, maintaining and upgrading Company’s testing facilities including chambers, test sites and locations, power systems and software thereof.
Performs verification and in-house calibrations of cables, filters, two-port devices, amplifiers, CDN’s, LISN’s and all other devices that can be calibrated in-house.
Is responsible for maintaining the test equipment calibrated in accordance with the approved Company schedule. (Communication with service providers, ship and receive equipment to and from the calibration providers and verification of the calibration services prior to placing in service).
Responsible for calculating measurement uncertainties of instrumentation and testing setups whether outsourced or performed in-house and declared in test and measurement reports.
Provides Test and Measurement related technical support and capabilities to Sales and other departments.
Is responsible for installing, maintaining and upgrading instrument software and or firmware.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a BS degree in Engineering or Science.
Minimum of 5-years of work experience in Test and Measurement instrumentation related to Safety, Lighting, EMC and RF engineering.
Minimum of 3-years of work experience with Labview, SPICE and other instrument control and circuit analysis programs
Proficient with office programs such as Microsoft, Adobe, etc.
Good knowledge of Analog circuits, Digital circuits, RF and microwave circuits, Power Systems.
Good knowledge of NEC and UL/IEC electrical and wiring rules and practices
Ability to read schematics
Ability to investigate, debug, isolate and repair electrical and electronic circuits
Good electromechanical skills
Knowledge in the safe operation of machinery and electrical tooling
Ability to solder and de-solder
Very good communication skills and very good command of English.
Well organized and detailed oriented.
Familiar with regulatory compliance regulations is a plus.
