Job Description:

As a Microwave Backhaul Sales Engineer you will partner with Sales Development Executives to develop sales opportunities and build a pipeline through consultative selling.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying wireless, microwave and backhaul sales opportunities
  • Providing technical solutions for customers
  • Creating comprehensive Bills of Materials
  • Performing product and site demonstrations
  • Managing the bid proposal process
  • Managing sales opportunities via Salesforce.com
  • Providing technical product training
  • Match customer needs with products, systems and services while translating technical solutions to clear customer value and benefit.
  • Responsible for setting up bi-weekly phone calls with Sales Leadership

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of RF Link Budget Planning and use of path loss software.
  • Ability to map customer requirements, describe, propose and moderate the solution design that addresses the customer’s needs.
  • Ability to use tools such as SalesForce.com to manage all opportunities. Knowledge of RF Principles, IP Networks, TDM, SDH / SONET, Layer 2 Networking protocols (Example: L2 Switching, IP/MPLS, QAM, QoS, Network resiliency G8032, VLAN, DSCP).

Required Experience:

  • 4-Year college degree.
  • Developing and providing technical customer presentations
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in RF, Microwave technology and IP Networking
  • Experience in Microwave backhaul, antennas and exhibits good understanding of the competitiveness for point-to-point license based microwave technology.
  • Exposure to Frequency Planning, link design, capacity planning and interference analysis calculation preferably using path loss software.
