Experience Summary:

We are currently representing an excellent Product Management Executive, who has 15 years experience in the wireless handset, carrier and test and measurement space.  He was the Vice President of carrier sales for an authorized distributor of handsets, data devices and accessories to national and regional carriers.  He also was the Director of Product Management for an independent mobile carrier that owns their own wireless network. 

Some of his accomplishments include:

  • As the VP of Carrier Sales, he managed relationships with 26 regional carriers across the United States.  He gained the confidence of key carrier and OEM executives; promoted handset sales and distribution agreements.  He devised and executed marketing plans, strategies, and tactics; represented the company at trade shows and industry events while serving as the technical subject matter expert for colleagues, partners, and clients.
  • As the director of Product Management, he led three direct reports (Product Manager, Technical Specialist, and Inventory Manager).  He directed product management lifecycle activities; competitor assessment, roadmap definition, business models, and financial justifications. 
  • He delivered $3 million in feature revenue annually, helping the company reach profitability within five years.  He negotiated vendor agreements for 60,000 handsets per year covering 32 different models.
  • He played a key role in securing orders valued at $40 million from 30+ international customers, including Vodafone Group and T-Mobile.  As a Business Development Manager he architected OEM network management solutions for Nortel that resulted in a 12% increase in sales.
