Company Description

Our client is a leader in the wireless communications testing industry. Their clients are some of the most well-known and influential companies in this field, both inside and outside Silicon Valley. They focus on emerging technologies such as GSM/GPRS, EDGE, W-CDMA, LTE, 1xRTT, 1xEVDO, Bluetooth, 802.11x, etc. with test labs in US, Europe and Asia.

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary interface to network operators and chipset manufacturers
  • Act as point of contact for LTE /UMTS/CDMA questions and technical issues related to specific customer device testing
  • Gather and maintain customer test requirements and create effective work instructions
  • Co-ordinate test planning, execution, and reporting for the customer using internal, and external resources if needed
  • Share knowledge and train internally on carrier test requirements and acceptance procedures
  • Evaluate test equipment capabilities and provide input for future business needs based on the carrier test requirements
  • Monitor certification regime databases for change requests related to test systems
  • Provide expert opinion and interpretation as required for the test projects
  • Involve in the improvement of testing processes and testing efficiency
  • Reports to test lab manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of certification schemes (GCF/ PTCRB/ CCF/ CTIA, etc) and Carrier Acceptance procedures for CDMA , UMTS and LTE wireless devices
  • Strong technical understanding of the wireless test industry is required
  • Must possess at least 5-7 years of experience in the 3G/4G wireless industry with some demonstrable knowledge and exposure to LTE devices, specifications and/or test systems
  • Knowledge of LTE and/or CDMA 1xRTT and 1xEVDO technology is a plus
  • Knowledge of QXDM and/or other diagnostic monitoring tools is desired
  • Familiarity with Spirent, Anritsu or R&S wireless test systems is favorable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to communicate clearly with network operators, OEMs and within their company as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Fast comprehension and flexibility in order to adapt to the rapidly changing technology and market place
  • Work independently with only minimal supervision
  • Strong work ethic and desire to get the job done

Compensation:  100 – 120K
