Job Description:

  • Ensure products meet carrier requirements:   Performance;  Feature;  Technical specifications
  • Overall ownership of the Project schedules for carrier’s devices – from engineering, to lab entry, to technical approval, and through FAI/Launch – including initial technical approval and subsequent reviews
  • Manage the Packaging/Collateral schedule in support of device FAI/launch
  • Manage one or more carrier device projects at any given time
  • Manage project activity related to 3rd party Labs (AVL, IOT, Apps, Accessories, RF, Performance)
  • Ownership of Quality Center (QC) related activities, deliverables, and communications in support of pre-lab and lab entry
  • Manage/oversee R&D engineering resources that work in the US on project missions in support of carrier device approval
  • Act as company’s NA liaison between carrier and internal departments (R&D, Validation, Quality, Factory, Supply Chain, Sales):  Anticipate Launch Plans;  Anticipate Customer Requirements;  Negotiate with customer(s) and 3rd party vendors/labs/suppliers;  Resolve technical issues;  Cost reduction;  Waiver requests/approvals

Requirements:

  • Extensive travel (40% minimum) is involved with this position and you must be ready, willing and accommodating to travel both domestically and internationally – at times on very short notice.
  • You must have no international travel restrictions.
  • Willingness to be flexible with workday schedule
  • Occasional/regular evening (weekend) calls with local team and/or R&D in China (as required per project status/schedule)
  • Early morning customer calls (as required per project status/schedule)
