Job Description:

The Construction Project Manager will coordinate daily activities with client personnel and interface daily with client Vendors, General Contractors and Sub-Contractors. Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assist in facilitation “on-time” and “on-budget” project.
  • Implement and understand the described construction scope of work.
  • Manage generator and fuel tank additions
  • Manage installation of building control systems (BAS, BMS) and commissioning
  • Assure project safety requirements are in compliance.
  • Onsite Maintenance Window work required.
  • Monitor staffing requirements are achieved and meeting expectations.
  • Manage, process and ensure compliance with the following items
    • Clarifications
    • RFIs
    • ASIs
    • Submittals
    • Change Orders
    • Project budget
  • Provide assurance that the construction is in compliance with the plans and specifications.
  • Act as client’s representative for compliance with network design standards.
  • Provide interface with local jurisdictions as required, including but not limited to the City Inspector, Waste and Groundwater Inspector, Fire Marshall, Electrical      Inspector, Plumbing Inspector and Mechanical Inspector.
  • Provide “on-going” value engineering of project to identify potential cost savings and eliminate project delays.
  • Document each day’s activities with “Daily Activity Report” to be distributed to client.
  • Participate in weekly OAC meetings.
  • Participate in weekly Sub-Contractor coordination meetings.
  • Monitor status of MOPs, RFI’s and Submittals.
  • Photograph project events to document progress and/or issues.
  • Prepare and submit Monthly project status update report.
  • Review monthly Pay Application, submit monthly Pay Application, upon approval, for payment.
  • Submit monthly Pay Application, upon approval, for payment.

Required Skills:

  • 5-10 years Construction Management Experience
  • 5-10 Project Management Experience
  • Must have extensive experience with DC power
  • Must have experience working in the maintenance window
  • Must understand Change Management Process
  • Telecommunications Project Experience – Datacenter, Mobile Switching Centers, Central Office environment.
  • Working understanding of Building Architecture, Mechanical, Building Automation System (BAS) Electrical, Structural and Fire Protection.
  • Current work experience with Generators, Medium Voltage Electrical Switch Gear and Chilled Water Systems including AHU’s, Cooling Towers and Control’s.

Compensation: 100 – 110K + quarterly bonus & travel expenses
