Job Description:

Our client is looking for an eager individual that likes the excitement of a growing business in wireless. They need someone with the experience, dedication, positive attitude and commitment to assist their technical team in mobile phone software customizations and testing.

Responsibilities:

Mobile Phone Software Customizations and Testing:

  • The Customizations Specialist will be responsible for creating unique mobile phone software customizations, loading sample phones, undergoing basic phone functional testing, and verifying customization settings based on carrier’s requirements.
  • Work with Customizations Support Team to resolve issues on the Customizations Tool

Customizations Database Maintenance:

  • The Customizations Specialist will also update and manage a carrier customization requirement database and ensure newly developed software customizations to meet such specifications.
  • Create/maintain an image database for Customizations use.

Collaterals Language and Functionalities Review:

  • The Customizations Specialist will be in charge of reviewing user manuals (UM), quick start guide (QSG), and phone databases (DB) to verify descriptive accuracy for phone functionalities and specifications.
  • In addition, the reviewers should be checking for grammatical errors and language style to fit US English standards. For international projects, candidate will be the lead liaison for translation service agencies.

Samples Coordination:

  • Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for receiving and scanning inbound shipments, managing phone sample inventory reports and shipment logs to carriers.
  • Prepare samples as needed and ship out using FedEx or DHL
  • Place sample orders and follow up for approvals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in CS, EE, IT, MIS or equivalent 1-3 years of experiences in Telecom field
  • Experience in mobile device programming and testing
  • Knowledge in computing programming (C, C++, Java)
  • Basic photo and document editing skills (Adobe Photoshop, Corel PaintShop)
  • Candidate must be professional, accessible and flexible to the changing needs of the company, must work well in a team environment, capable of handling fast paced situations, and adapts well to change and high-pressure deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, quality commitment, strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to work with teams
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Positive attitude, a great work ethic, detail oriented, organized and punctual
  • Preferred Language – English. (Mandarin and/or Spanish a plus)

Compensation: Based on Experience
