Position Description:

The Director of Marketing will report directly to the CEO and work with the VP of Sales. As such, you should possess a broad understanding of how B2B brands communicate with customers and have significant experience utilizing digital marketing as a communication channel. You will support and manage both corporate marketing communications programs and digital initiatives. We are looking for a “doer”.

  • Develop and execute Strategic Marketing Plan
  • Setting up and managing modern marketing automation systems that serve as the basis to design and execute marketing programs. Examples of modern systems include: Adobe Cloud, Hubspot, Eloqua, Act-On, and Marketo.
  • Creating and executing marketing programs in critical areas, such as lead generation, public relations, sales support and web presence.
  • Working successfully with outside agencies that provide expertise to improve Edge’s marketing presence.
  • Manage Advertising and Promotional Activities

Expectations:

  • Implement Digital Marketing capabilities that dramatically improve the reach and market penetration of Edge:
  • Develop and manage the Marketing Communications Function.
  • Build, gain approval for, and manage the budget.
  • Establish measurement criteria for all marketing programs, so that Management can gauge their effectiveness and allocate budget on an on-going basis
  • Maintain a deep and broad understanding of the financial, strategic and marketing imperatives, product and service roadmap, and competitive dynamics in the marketplace

Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree a plus
  • 7-10+ years of experience
  • Proven track record with Marketing Communications in a B2B environment in an Internet technology company
  • Ability to influence across a fast growing organization
  • Extensive experience with digital marketing tools: web-sites, SEO, e-mail marketing, CRM systems, social media, mobile, etc.
  • Familiarity with digital metrics/analytic tools
  • Agency management experience
  • Direct experience and knowledge of the Hosting, Cloud, IaaS, SaaS or Security/Systems management software markets are a plus.
