We are looking for a Director of Software Engineering – Customized Wireless Devices to lead the development of customized wireless devices such as tablets, smartphones, etc. This is a full time, permanent position with benefits. Relocation assistance is available.

Job Description:
The Director is responsible for building and delivering custom wireless devices. You will be a hands-on leader architecting the software strategy as well as leading US and overseas development teams. In addition to overseeing those teams, you will review code as well as the product design, hardware, and manufacturing processes. You will build Proof of Concepts and develop next generation products.
Qualifications:
To be considered, you will need to have a BSCE, BSEE or similar engineering degree with MSCE a plus. You will have specific product development and product architecture experience for tablets or smartphones or other wireless devices -including software, hardware, system engineering and applications.
Other experience:
- 10+ years of experience in software development, including development specifically for smart phones or tablets
- 4-6 years of experience managing the Application Lifecycle from conception to support to bring Enterprise software to market,
- Multiple web technologies
- 4-6 Years of managing development teams on application development or platform technology for wireless devices.
- Experience in the implementation of Agile SDLC with a distributed team
- Client meetings and delivering technical presentations
- Experience with Android as well as Java/Objective C/SWIFT experience
- Experience with interfacing with HTTPS based APIs
- LAMP technology stack is a plus
You will travel 1-2 times per year to Asia to meet with outsourced teams.
