Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a key role of Mobile Device RF Performance Engineer. They are looking for an eager individual that likes the excitement of a growing business in the wireless industry.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise and experience in mobile device antenna design and OTA testing (CTIA certified test plan).

They need someone with the experience, dedication, positive attitude and commitment to join their North America region.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage RF OTA performance of our client’s products.
  • Manage customer acceptance RF OTA testing for T-Mobile and AT&T devices.
  • Lead technical discussions on RF performance.
  • Report test results in a variety of methods such as Quality Center, Excel, Bugzilla & other error databases, email, and PowerPoint
  • Subject matter expert for customer RF OTA requirements and establish themselves as an internal advocate of exceeding customer needs.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with other members of the team by leading on-the-job training efforts
  • Collaborate with internal Technical Account Managers, Project Management, Requirements Management and Marketing teams to assure that customer needs are met,
  • Timely communication of status to management and global colleagues in formal      reports, emails, Instant Message, and in conference calls. Because colleagues are located in various global geographies, you need to be willing to attend occasional conference calls outside normal business hours and use a multitude of resources to communicate effectively in this environment and avoid email Ping-Pong.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of CTIA OTA Performance test plan.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide RF OTA testing at CTIA certified test laboratories.
  • Thorough understanding of GSM, WCDMA and LTE access technologies.
  • Ability to guide organization on the adoption of new antenna technologies such as active antenna systems.
  • Intimate knowledge of antenna design and optimization for Bluetooth, Wifi and GPS systems.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and sometimes in an isolated lab for extended periods of time, must have excellent time management skills.
  • Mandarin a plus.
  • Up to 40% travel.

Compensation: Based on Experience
