Our client is a fast growing mobile handset company located in Southern California. They have an immediate need for a Mobile Phone Packaging-Collateral Specialist.

Job Description:

Responsible for all aspects of carton, label, and printed collateral development from customer requirements to final approval and shipment review process. Act as the central point of contact for internal and external customers, spanning North America and Asia, across a dozen or more concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of packaging development from project initiation to customer launch, including packaging plans used for shipping logistics.
  • Interface with Technical Project Managers, Designers, and Product Managers to align activities to the overall product launch schedule.
  • Work with customers, distributors, and logistics groups to manage each project to successful completion – meeting all compliance standards and specifications, deadlines, and providing proper levels of communication and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain Packaging and Labeling Plans associated with specific projects – ensuring ongoing manufacturing compliance to evolving customer requirements and managing changes caused by supplier/business dynamics.
  • Managing the development process of original designs via packaging design, artwork, and sample review/approvals for items such as gift boxes, user manuals and guides, warranty cards, and miscellaneous items.
  • Maintain and publish weekly project status reports. Participate in all weekly calls to apprise planners/schedulers of project status.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 Years Experience in Packaging and Materials management
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, stressful environment on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Ability to bridge communications between suppliers and factory in Asia with direction from US customers/partners
  • Effective Oral and Written communication skills
  • Excellent Time Management skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented personality
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Some occasional travel required (10-15%)

Qualifications:

Our client is looking for someone from the wireless industry who is doing this currently or has done this role for a handset OEM, wireless device manufacturer or wireless carrier.

Compensation: Based on Experience
