Job Description:

Serves customers and supports sales team by identifying their needs and providing technical support, information and guidance.

Job Requirements:

  • Assist customers by providing technical support during the installation and integration of product into the network.
  • Respond to customer inquiries by determining their product needs and answering technical questions pertinent to products and systems.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by establishing and maintaining a personal rapport with customers and others in a position to help meet customer needs
  • Assist customers in developing system requirements by providing product, service, or technical information; reviewing customer specifications and developing proposals; identifying and developing within accounts new opportunities to sell products.
  • Support sales objectives by assisting regional sales managers, customers and representatives in pre-sale activities as needed.
  • Keep management and sales team informed by submitting bi-monthly written reports detailing customer calls and providing new product and sales opportunities as discovered by dealing with customer issues. Written reports should also include a summary of engineering and application trends.
  • Recommend improvements by providing feedback to internal development team regarding updates and recommended product enhancements.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by studying existing and new legislation; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other job related results as needed; enabling other workers to achieve their job objectives.
  • Reports to VP of Sales.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum BS in Electrical/RF Engineering
  • Working knowledge of Antenna and RF concepts used in wireless communications
  • Solid practical knowledge of land mobile communications and cellular networks and systems, preferably obtained through hands-on experience
  • Knowledge of FCC Rules and Regulations
  • Background in sales is beneficial

Skills:

  • Expertise with wireless antenna industry products and systems including but not limited to antennas, RET systems, diplexers, combiners and TMAs
  • Proficiency with test equipment to verify product performance and excellent computer skills needed for trouble shooting the RET interface.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive and long-term customer relations.
  • Ability to maintain positive company image and brand.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including correct grammar and spelling.
  • A courteous and professional demeanor.
  • Well-organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to apply basic engineering skills; read drawings and blueprints, and provide analytical assessment of engineering data.
  • Ability to conduct well-organized presentations/training sessions and convey technical information clearly at all levels.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle peak volumes of work.
  • Proficiency with MS Office software programs including but not limited to Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and engineering software in work applications.

Working Conditions:

Perform light physical work on a regular basis such as keyboarding, reaching, stooping, kneeling, standing and walking. May be required to lift up to 15 lbs regularly, and up to 35 lbs occasionally.

Travel requirements include trade shows, customer visits, and conferences.
