Company Description:
Our client is one of the largest and most respected Motorola dealers in the country. We are looking for a Two-way Radio Technologist.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Install and provide technical support for VHF/UHF and 700/800 MHz analog and digital systems, mobile and portable subscriber equipment, simulcast, conventional, trunked radio systems, dispatch consoles, paging infrastructure and microwave systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, discuss, and resolve wireless communication equipment questions and problems with customers in a positive and efficient manner in person on customer’s site or the shop location.
- Analyze and comprehend diagnostic test results in order to repair and program radios and wireless equipment.
- Support our public safety and first responder customers; technicians will be required to be on call, which includes overtime.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the radio and communication area with extensive knowledge/understanding of two-way radio theory and communications systems.
- The ability to program, troubleshoot and perform system diagnostics on complex radio systems.
- Experience in the diagnostics, repair, maintenance and programming wireless communication equipment such as 2-way radios, transmitters, receivers and antennas.
- Knowledge of battery backup systems, base stations, repeaters, multi-couplers, duplexers, basic LAN and wireless LAN. FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License required and a Cisco networking certification a plus!
- Candidates must possess clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Preferred, CET, Motorola 4.1, 7x, Mototrbo, CompTIA Network+,Broadband VO-I
Compensation: 50 – 60K
